1)Summary
The Last of the Mohicans is the 1826 sequal to the now less- famous The Pioneers (1823) and the prequel to The Praire (1827). It is set at the time of the war between France and England in North America and, as the novel begins, we are already three years into the conflict. At Fort Edward, General Webb receives news of a French attack under Montcalm is coming to Fort William Henty which is only guarded by the small force of the Scotsman Monro. Captain Duncan Heyward is dispatched to take Munro's daughters to that fort along with the renegade Native American runner magua, know as Le Renard Subtil (The cunning Fox). We follow their journey as they meet the magnificent Chingachgook whose son is the last of the mohican tribe, and find that Magua is actually preventing their progress and is allied to the French. We meet the character Hawkeye (Natty Bumpoo, the central character in these so - called 'Leatherstocking Tales') and follow him and his Indian companions as they become involved in the bloody war. Hawkeye is seemingly the last decentwhite man as he respects the Indian's customs in this exciting adventure story full of battles, captures and rescues.
2) I found the language used in this quite tough. His descriptions really to put the images wonderfully in ones mind.I think this book is easy to understand and I enjoy to read this book. In this book, I really like the Hawkeye character. I say that because, Hawkeye is both a character and a symbol. Cooper uses hawkeye to symbolize colonial hybridity, the mixing of European and Indian cultures. Hawkeye also symbolizes the myth of the hero woodsman. He demonstrates perfect marksmanship in the shooting contest held by the Delawares, for example. Hawkeye also becomes a symbolic father. Excluded from the novel's love plots, Hawkeye takes part in a different sort of human relationsip by creating a father- son dynamic with uncas.The Last of the Mohicans emphasizes the "fiction" in historical fiction.The book is comically littered with contradictory tones and gross inaccuracies in terms of frontier life.Also begins innocently enough, with an introduction that tell us that the setting is the third year of the French and Indian war. The author's use of historical facts allows the reader to more vividly imagine what is being described, and allows Cooper to draw on the reader's knowledge of the French and Indian war.

This book is a thriller and loving book.it is about an indian tribe with the british and french that wanted the North America which is the indian tribe country.the main character in the book is british colonel munro,major duncan heyward,munro's daughter alice and cora,french general montcalm,a huron indian magua,chingachgook as a mohican chief,his son uncas and the white man hawkeye.
in the story, indians fought other indians,indians fougt white man,french fought british.it's happen because they wanted country.some indians helped the british and other indian helps french.firstly colonel munro's daughters cora and alice arrived at fort edward from scotland.they wanted to visit their father at fort william henry.major duncan heyward want to send cora and alice to their father.in their journey the find uncas,chingachgook and hawkeye.they send the girls together because the woods is so dangerous.magua want to take cora as his wife because colonel munro was make him angry.white man was give fire-water to him and they gave their home.
uncas love cora and hawkeye love alice.they and other man try to send alice and cora to their father and do it.but lastly,something happen when magua take cora in dangerous and uncas want to save cora.but uncas was died.

The story book the last Mohicans give me more kind like knowledge about culture, tribes of north Amerika,love and disadvantage of the war.I very interesting to read this book because the sentence and words easy to understand.
The last of the Mohicans story about the war,tribes,and love. in 1757,a lot of north Amerika was wild country and the thick woods were often dangerous.Indian fought other indian.The Frencefought the British because they wanted this place.Some Indians helped the British and other Indians helped the French. The British Colonel name is Munro.
he have two daughters,namely Cpra and Alice.Cora mother is Indian people.Because that she looked down.besides that it story about love. example Heyward is very love to Alice. he want merry her.
Meanwhile,Uncas love to Cora.He willingly dead because of Cora.The last of the Mohicans story also about tribeslike Mohicans and Hurun.The character Mohicans liked Uncas and Chingacgook.meanwhile Hurun characted liked Magua.

The book is easy to understand.it use an easy words and the plot not difficult to understand.i like the pictures in the book because it help me to more understand and give a shadow about what happen in each chapter in the story.it also very helpful to me to learn more about what happen in each chapter. i like the book very much.it give me many new vocabulary and also have many message to me that i can take it as my instruction in my future life.in this book,i have a character that i like best.it is in last chapter when uncas died because he want protect cora from killed by magua. i think the book many message.the message is we can be strong fisically and mentally in our life if we want to save and has a success life.i also could learn about romance between alice,heyward,uncas,cora and magua.everyone in the world have loving heart in their life
in my opinion, the drama is so interesting and suitable with this course evaluation.the drama will give an attraction to students and make a different thing from another course.it also can take new talent from any students .for example the drama that chose by students in set43 entitled cnow white,it has many character that will involve all of members in this set.it also give an experience about how to produce a drama.we will learn many thing about it such as behind the scene,we will see and learn what the director,technical work and what happen behind the scene in making a drama. beside that,we will see and exist a cooperation in our members of set 43.we will see who give their commitment and cooperation in this group project.

According to my research on this story, it is very interesting, easy to understand and can know more about life for Indians and in the woods. This story about fight between white men and Indians. The fight between the French and the British in North America in 1757. The main character include Colonel Munro's, Alice, Cora, Magua, Heyward, Uncas, and others.
This story started with Colonel Munro's daughter, Cora and Alice arrived at Ford Edward from Scotland because wanted to visit their father at Fort William Henry. This part, his daughter meet Magua.But Alice doesn't like Magua. Magua have talanted in show the best way to Fort William Henry. Next day, the Hurons coming to attack them. This symbol with heard war cries from them.The result of this attack is four Hurons were dead.
Cora's have a plan. The Hurons across the river fired their guns and Uncas, Chingachgook and Hawkeye fired back. Cora force Uncas to go with her father. After that, the Indians ran quickly into the cave and they angrily pulled the two girls. He search Heyward but him not there. Magua want to be Cora's as wife. They also ready to die. So, the end is near. Lastly, Uncas was died time when save Cora's...............
