hi...today i want to share with my friends about learning english from David Crystal...I think, the online session from David Crstal is interesting. It because in this website i can learn a new words and also can know how pronounce that words because i can hear this pronounce.Beside that, from this website i also can know about latest news about world and many languages in world because it has news in 33 languages,it's so amazing.I can hear and learn new languages. The important things is i can learn grammar,it make me more confident when i write essay or talk.
Wysiwyg
Wysiwyg is acronym and it's not spelt as it's sounds. It's an acronym meaning 'what you see is what you get'.It came early 1980s in computing. It means that what you see on the screen is what u get in the output.
Example, if you type something on the screen and when you print it out,it looks just like it's on the screen.'Wysiwyg'(what you see is what you get).It was especially found in desktop publishing.
This my second vocabulary i choose...
This phrase, 'thirty-something',it came from in 1980s reffering to people of an unspecified age between 30 and 40.These were members of the baby boom, the people who were born 20,30 years before and entering their 30s now and not knowing how to cope-or at least, that was the idea.
This vocab also can used as an adjective,example she's a thirty-something career woman.And it's also used as a noun,example 'the thirty-somethings'.
Well,it can be any age.The implication is always that there's a set of values or problems associated with that age.
And now,if you want to secret your age,you can say i'm twenty-something:)...
