Chapter 1 to 3 stories about two tribe Indians and white men Indians fought others Indians and white men.Then, the French fought the British because they wanted this country for French. Some Indians helped the British and other Indians helped the French. The British Colonel Munro were at Fort William Henry. The Frenchman, Montcalm were near the fort. The Colonel couldn’t fight without more men. So the waited General Webb to sent his men from Fort Edward and he also waited for his daughter, Cora and Alice. Major Duncan Heyward responsible to take that girls to their father and follow Magua the Indians from Huron tribe, only him can show the best way but Alice dislike him. Heyward says with Magua, they will be safe from the French and the Indians. They left Fort Edward. The 1,500 men went by road but Heyward and the two young women followed Magua through the woods. On that same day, they meet two men, sat in the woods next to the Hudson River. They is Mohican Indian Chief, and the white man, Hawkeye also Uncas, the chiefs son. The Mohican want to help them out of the woods because Magua was show they the wrong way and Magua was ran into the woods. The Mohican and Hewkeye help them to take away Heyward and two girls up the river to Fort William Henry in their canoe. The river was wide, for dangerous and the canoe moved very quickly. Cora and Alice were afraid. Then, Hawkeye and the two Mohicans stopped the canoe and they got out. They took Heyward, Cora and Alice into a cave. The two girls felt safe and they made a fire. Major Heyward look at Hawkeye’s,he was a very strong man and Uncas also had strong arm and black eyes but didn’t have much hair. When Uncas gave food to Cora, he look at her long black hair and dark eyes, but Alice was younger and had very light hair. Uncas liked Cora. The girls went to sleep but Hawkeye and the Mohicans didn’t sleep. They watched and listened from Magua and other Hurons.

Yes, The Last Of The Mohicans is easy to understanding. It is because that book are brief and comprehensive. It also able to understand that culture for examples, cora is a half breed. White people dislike people from the west Indies because their skin are different. Its about little love romance, like Alice and Heyward, Uncas and Magua also like Cora.

Characters
I like Cora character, it is because Cora are different with other characters. The different is Cora different with Alice, their younger sister. Cora had long black hair and her dark eyes compare with Alice. She had very light hair. Uncas also like Cora. Beside that, Cora is a half breed girls because her mother from west Indians. Cora are very brave not afraid and strong. She willing and able to died from be a Magua wife.
